Be grounded in the heart of mother earth and grounded with the heart of father sky. Know that no matter what you say, think, or do.You shall never be judged in the eyes of the Great Spirit. Walk proudly yet ever so gently. Doors are opening. Walk through. Embrace the gifts that come your way. You pray for World Peace and we smile. Start small. Go within. As each being goes within and obtains inner peace. So to will the world, one person at a time, become a world of peace. You may be tempted to say the world is in a state of turmoil. We lovingly suggest to you that it is a time of Great Healing. The warriors of the world are those that embrace love at any given moment in time, no matter what is happening in and of the world. Go within, find the inner peace that is authentically you. Peel the layers. Trust. Just when you think you have reached your limit...take one more step. For each step taken is one of remembering the authentic self. Finding and embracing the authentic self will set yourself free. Fly with the Eagles. Walk with the Panthers. Swim with the dolphins. You are them. They are you. They are all free and so are you...if you choose to walk through the door and set yourself free. So, we leave you dear ones with a message from the Elder Eaglefeathers.. I appreciate all the work that you are doing with the Class & Reiki Share newsletter. Paige: Just wanted to say I really like your teaching manual. It will be a great asset to myself and my students. I have studied alot of material on Reiki the last four years and I like your outline of keeping it basic. The six people I am teaching are not into self healing (yet) or things metaphysical. I felt alot of the material available would overwhelm them or discourage them unless I wrote my own manual (which I had kind of started to do) Then I remembered that you had written one. All problems solved. Liz (in response to last week's Reader's Corner): I read the recipe given for essential oils in the latest newsletter and wanted to offer what I know about the subject. ESSENTIAL oils are made by a distillation process, which is also used in making perfumes. Most of us don't have the equipment to make essential oils at home. A small one ounce bottle of essential oil can take anywhere from several ounces to several pounds of plant matter to produce. For this reason, essential oils are highly potent and should never be taken internally unless you REALLY know what you are doing. Most of them should be diluted before applying directly to the skin, especially with young children. The recipe in the Reiki newsletter was for an INFUSED oil. Any herb safe enough to eat or to drink as a tea is also safe to take as an infused oil. Hope this helps to clear up any confusion about the difference between essential and infused oils. Myrya: In reply to ~~Reiki Experience~~ from Denise. Tell them all "They said the same things about Jesus, and now we know the difference, remember that bad cannot be fought with bad!" Denise: A quick note to Helen, who was writing in about the "losing energy" question. Helen, you were unsure of Dr. Dyer's first name, and I think you may mean Wayne (William was VERY close). It caught my eye, because I am now listening to his tapes for "There Is A Spiritual Solution to Every Problem". Dr. Dyer does indeed quote Jung often. Thanks, Helen, for reinforcing what I have had a wonderful time absorbing so far! Helen: Good newsletter! Thrilled to see all the comments. Poonam: i am a regular reader of your newsletter & i love reading it it inspires me so much & the new techniques you teach are wonderful too i love experimenting them as i am a reiki master myself Responses to Ruth's question last week on using Reiki with polar fleece: Yvonne: Many thanks for allowing me the opportunity of placing my ad. Yes I liked your site very much and will visit often. Also liked your "One World, One Universe, One Source" though personally I would add "One Self, All is One, No duality". I am also a Guru, my Master is Sri Ramana Maharshi and I hold satsangs to teach his message of the advaita (non-duality method of Self realization). Reiki is a natural wonder, a warm and loving radiation from the Universe which is Self, the Source, the Absolute. Diane: Thanks for the inspiration Teri, felt drained myself of late but your thoughts gave me a second wind. Windancer: I'm certainly not a prude..and enjoy a good joke...but I've found the last two Just for Fun items less than funny and seemingly out of place with the context of the rest of the newsletter....the rest of which I've always found to be extremely helpful and interesting Just my feedback. Shelley (on last week's Just for Fun): For some of us that may be a joke. I have a friend who is a Reiki Master and in my opinion a wonderful healer for whom this "joke" is reality. Life is to be enjoyed - whoever we are. Lou: I love your publications. Send them in! teri@reikione.com from Poonam (regarding an earlier experience posted by Sirji): i want to say here that i too have had similar problem as sirji although i don't completely know about his problem but what i gather from this answer i don't wish to contradict but when we reiki a situation or we wish for someone(like a good match for someone's marriage or for good marks in exam, or for cordial relationship in a married couple etc) this too could be called as manipulation only .wishing for good doesn't reduce it to plain magic i don't believe reiki rebounds although sometimes i too wonder why my wishes are not fulfilled (i would like if someone could guide me on that) but i feel when reiki doesn't give the response we had wanted it was because it wasn't for our highest good although we don't know it but reiki does. David's response: A 75 year old woman showed up at a recent Reiki Share (our name for circle). She had chronic back pain and was recommended by her doctor for surgery. She had a group healing with 4 of us and felt no pain after it; she called four days later to say she still felt great, and scheduled a Reiki evening with her friends from church to have them experience Reiki. This column features a different question each week for your musing, opinion, and response. Comments received will be published in the next issue. Last week's question came from Kelly: Occasionally, I have given Reiki treatments to people and have seemingly received little or no energy. What I mean by this is that I haven't felt any of the usual heat or tingling sensations that I normally do. This in turn makes me anxious and I wonder if I'm 'doing it right'. I realise that it's ridiculous to think this way because I know that all I have to do is ask for the energy. I have always trusted in Reiki, but since this has happened, I now find my confidence lacking whenever I begin a session. Perhaps my anxiety is causing a blockage and I would like to put my mind at rest. At the moment I am only treating friends and relatives, many of them with good results, but would eventually like to work professionally and would obviously like to resolve this issue. Has this ever happened to any of your readers? And if so, why do you think it happens and how do you deal with it? Denise: I also have fleeting moments of insecurity. I view this as "residual" from the person I used to be. As a worrisome (and sometimes downright paranoid) person, I was always unsure of anything I did - was I doing it right? Would someone laugh? Would someone else have a problem with it? Believe me, I know how you feel! But now, I remind myself that one of the biggest issues that comes along with Reiki is TRUST - trust in the energy/love, trust in yourself, trust in the healing. Perhaps learning to let go and trust is one of the hardest things for us to do, because it has some of the greatest reward. When you feel this way, let go of your doubts. It's hard, but believe that it can be done. My Reiki master always says "You cannot mess up Reiki." Excuse the pun, but you must put your faith in the hands of Reiki, and let things take their course. On a slightly more technical note, there have been times when I have felt nothing in my hands, but knew intuitively not to move them. Afterwards, I found out that the Receiver did in fact feel something, be it warmth or something else. As I do more treatments, I am experiencing a full spectrum of sensations (even the "nothing"), and it becomes easier each time to simply trust it - once I tell myself to do that, my nervousness disappears, and I am able to open up even more to Reiki. Linda: Kelly - We are channels for Reiki energy to flow through. We are vessels supplying the path for the energy to be drawn through us. It sounds to me like you may have EGO (Earth Guide Only) getting in the way of your treatments. If you are thinking about what your hands feel like; if they are warm or if they are tingling, you may not be concentrating on what or how your client is feeling as much as you should. Tell yourself to "get out of the way", and then relax into the energy as it flows through you into your client. Then you will know that you are "doing it right" and that "it is working". I have a level one practitioner give me treatments, and her hands are actually cold (to me!) during the whole treatment, but the energy that I feel flow through her into me is unmistakable and very powerful! Remember, it is not YOU doing anything....it is your client who is drawing the energy through you. I! think if you become more in tune with him/her, you will be amazed at what YOU will feel! Next week's question: comes from Nicholas: i was wondering if anyone has info on any similarities on reiki energy and kundalini energy. i was at a sahaja yoga class last night raising my kundalini energy (a bit) and the cool breeze of the kundalini felt similar to the cool breeze of what i acknowledge as the reiki energy. any ideas? Based On A True Story...(well that's what they told me) An elderly Florida lady did her shopping, and upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!" The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad. The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and get into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why. A few minutes later she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into her car and then drove to the police station. The sergeant to whom she told the story nearly tore himself in two with laughter. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun. ~~Reader's Corner~~
Marilyn: A couple of years ago I had an experience you may want to communicate in response to Ruth's question about fabrics which aren't good w/ reiki. I had been carrying my distance reiki materials in a leather pouch so that I could send reiki in public places without attracting notice. One day when my reiki master and I were talking, I mentioned this to her, and she wondered whether the leather would absorb any part of the energy, since it is (or once was) skin tissue. We sought guidance on the question and received the information that a small amount of the energy is absorbed by leather, but most (say in the range of 85%) still gets through. I'd be very interested in learning what experience and/or guidance others may have on this subject.
Dick: re:: the polar fleece question I am certain the "energy" will pass thru..If in doubt, turn it inside out and "double" the effect...

from humorme, a question last week. My question is about reiki circle. I am a reiki 2 practitioner I have been to one and found it to be helpful . I wonder if others have been to a reiki circle, what happened there, and their experiences of being in the circle thanks I think I would like to offer one but wonder if I would need to be a master reiki to offer it.
