Namaste friends! Now that February is here and the holidays are behind me, I'm hoping to get back into the weekly routine of this newsletter (or at least the bi-monthly I've been doing the past 6 months or so).

Life has been moving quickly at my home and I know it's due to the increased vibration of the planet. Tuning in and connecting with the Universe through Reiki, meditation, art, and yoga is where I've been focusing and I find the speed within which changes are occurring to be phenomenal. And as if that weren't enough, my grandbaby Kayla arrived three weeks early! Born on January 26th, she came into this world surrounded by love and family. Amazing stuff. And humbling.

Christine, on the ReikiOne manuals: just to let you know that I am printing the REIKI 2 manual as I write to you and it is really lovely thank you for this contribution to my learning.

Karen: In response to Tina-Lorraine's question about vegetarian diets and alcohol: My own Reiki Masters are vegetarians and, I believe, do not drink alcohol. They have never tried to enforce any views on me about diet, etc, or judged me, but have simply said it is my own choice. For the past few years - since my Reiki I attunement - I have continued to eat meat and drink alcohol in moderation. I give the meat a Reiki before I cook it - perhaps this sounds silly, but I read that you can do this, and do a 'take away' of any fear or pain connected with the animal/meat. This doesn't justify killing anything, but it was kind of a compromise until I gave up eating meat completely! Anyway, as I continue to practice Reiki, the 'heavy' energies of meat, alcohol and coffee seem to be totally inappropriate and I feel my energies depleted more when I'm on this kind of eating plan. I think the higher energy vibrations of Reiki mean that you need to eat and feed your body (and mind) with things of an equally high vibration. Does that make sense? Anyway, I'm now focusing on eating much 'lighter' foods with a high-energy content (eg. organic, raw veg and fruits, home made veg soups, plus salads with nuts, seeds, etc) and I've cut out alcohol altogether. This just feels 'right' for me and my body, and it seems to be a logical step in trying to be a clean, clear channel for the Reiki energy. I'm not as sluggish in the morning, and I don't feel as depleted following a Reiki session. I'd be very interested to hear what other people say. Hope this helps!

John: Thanks for sending the Reiki newsletter around the world on a regular basis, which is such a great help for all of us. Reason for writing this note is the unsettled state of world conditions. Extreme weather, earth quakes , tsunamis, , unnecessary wars, one can go on. Space ship earth is under great stress and changes are coming for all of us. Recently I have started every morning with spending time , sending healing the our earth to give her a boost. I wonder whether we could all do this on a regular basis. With people all over the globe represented, we could get a continuous session going to give this globe a hand and support her with all the changes coming up.

Heriberto, on an earlier Discussion: The truth is Luke has given us all access to the secret power of Chi Gong! The secret is in the turning power of the dantian and everyone can develop this skill if they are willing to practice. I had to come all the way to China to get this incredible gift and much more. This trip has revealed a whole new dimension of Chi Gong to me.

How did YOU find Reiki?

New Experiences

Donna: I have completed second level reiki in the Usui system. Recently I have met a Master trained in Tera Mai. Does anyone have any experience or comment as to whether they have felt attunement in Tera Mai has developed them beyond the teachings of Usui’s system? I am interested to hear your views on whether initial attunement in any lineage of reiki is all encompassing or if more can be experienced and passed on using Tera Mai or other forms of reiki.

John: Reiki request - Recently we have had messages from Mayan Shamans from Ecuador, from Hopi and Inuit elders, telling us; " That their land is changing and so will ours." We have had over the last years changing weather patterns, leading to 4 hurricanes in so many weeks in Florida last summer to 8 plus typhoons in Japan. Recent violent storms in Northern Europe and extremely heavy rainfall in California a few weeks ago and presently in British Columbia this week are in the news. At the same time numerous earth quakes occur at all levels, leading up to the large tsunami near Sumatra, Indonesia. Volcanoes are becoming active in larger numbers. The earth is not only changing, but the land is moving, Over the last few months, on the average, more that 15 earthquakes a day, ranging from 2.5 to 6.0 and up on the Richter scale, were felt all over the world, from the ring of fire, around the Pacific, to the Atlantic ridge, the Mediterranean and the middle east. What is the cause of these changes, nobody can or will give a straight answer. Some are cosmic, or solar system wide, some are caused by human actions, like pollution, wars or military experimenting. Our sun is supposed to be at the low end of the 11 year solar cycle. However the number of solar flares far outreaches those found during the normal height of the cycle. These flares, solar storms, x ray and gamma ray emissions are said to play havoc with our weather system and placing stresses on mother earth resulting in the quakes. Reports indicate that all the planets in our system are affected. What makes the sun go wild, the suggestions range from the end of times to changes caused by a visiting large planet in our system, The Mayan calendar ends somewhere between now and 2012, depending who does the calculating. The Sumerian tablets tell about violent changes about 3600 years ago, which roughly ties in with the Mayan calendar. There are other potential, human causes for these disasters, efforts of weather control by the military as indicated by odd weather patterns chemtrails and others Recently after the big tsunami I found a letter from Jesa Macbeth in the OAS listing, on the internet. The subject of doing distance healing as a help for the victims and the people aiding them. If we can help the people why, not make an effort to help our Mother Earth or Gaia, now that she seems to be under attack. We have a group of over 2000 subscribers here with the ReikiOne newsletter. If we could get everyone and their friends to spend one half hour a day, sending long distance healing to this globe we call our home, maybe it will make a difference. We probably never will know whether it makes a difference, because there is no feedback. But the energy we are using is infinite, and the fabric of which the universe is made, so why not use it for the benefit of our planet and the human race, which will have trouble surviving the calamities that might be on the way. If the suffering of the tsunami is an indicator, we may be in for a rough ride.

Next issue's question comes from Bianca: I have a question and wonder what opinions people have about this: If someone suffers from parasites in the intestine is it possible to give reiki? Or will the reiki energy also go to the parasite and make the parasite stronger? I wonder about this, because when a pregnant woman gets a reiki treatment this is also helping the baby. Maybe not so nice of me to compare a baby with a parasite, but I really don't know what to think of
this.
