As the temperature passed 90, I was out in the yard cutting tree branches that were damaged in last nights' thunderstorm. A slight breeze reached me and for a moment I paused, falling into the moment. Touched by the hand of the Universe and her soothing energy, I was reminded of the need to give thanks for even the simplest of blessings. I've been doing lots of self healing on myself, making slow progress. Since my attunement, what I was shown & experienced, I am pain free, and now know that I am becoming well again. Send them in! teri@reikione.com In response to JoAnn's experience, posted in the last newsletter Alvin: Hello JoAnn. I've been practicing Reiki for almost three years now, and I would just like to share my own experiences also. I grew up not believeing in things like Psychics and Religion and God and Angels etc... sure I did read up voraciously on Paranormal phenomena, but it was more with the gawking curiosity of a tabloid reader. I thought if I could throw fireballs from my eyes and lightning bolts from my hands then maybe, just maybe I'd get the kind of attention that I wanted from the people around me. How silly! Anyways, I first got involved with Reiki when I was becoming active in the Occult circles, about 5 years back, and increasingly finding entirely plausible explanations for things I had once thought impossible. After my Reiki attunements, boy did things really start to move for me. I do not know why, or how, I can do the things I can do now, and I certainly didn't ask for them consciously. I also know that these are not the full extent of my abilities. Let me explain: Along with doing Reiki healing on people, I started becoming able to see hear and communicate with what I believe are Spirit Guides and Guardian Angels. I made contact with my own Guardian Angel using the tried and true method of "sit-meditate-pester-till-you-get-something" and have gone on to identify a few more of my own Guides. Now, I am in constant contact with my Guides and Angels, and I always, always look to them for guidance whenever I am unsure. Sometimes I do not even have to address them directly, they'll just pop in with the answer. They have never failed me. Gee, I thought, this was cool, being able to sidestep trouble before it even senses me, and I started fishing around for what else I could do with it. I soon progressed to acting as impromptu channels for the Guides and Angels of my friends. For some reason, they started talking to me about some rather personal problems, and I would always seem to have an answer for them. You know, things like "wait" and "take a break" and "you know what your problem is? You have never really forgiven your mother for accidentally squashing your lollipop when you were 3yrs 8ths and 21days old..." That's not all. I started having earthbound spirits floating up to me (literally, because this one was in the pool where he had drowned) and asking to be led "Home" Uh huh, like you, I too would like to know just who wrote the script for that whole entire episode. "Go to the Light?" Come on...! :p To cut a really long story short, I can now... read and repair auras and chakras, correct imbalances and blockages in bodily energy flow, physically hear the musical notes of a person's chakra system and "tune" it to the correct one (and I still can't play the piano!), visually scan a body for health problems, pick up impending or existing conditions just by looking at a person's face or photo... to be frank, I do not know what else I can do! I'll won't be surprised if I one day discover that I can make water flow backwards when I dance to a Mariah Carey song. Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes Reiki does open up the doors to some other funny and quirky stuff, and if you want, you can step forward, embrace it bravely and joyously, and like in the practice of Reiki, keep centered in the fact that we are all just Channels for the Divine, Vessels of Christ, Bodhisattavas-in-Training, Lightworkers, Incarnated Angels, or simply Love with Legs. :p In that spirit, I wish you and everyone/thing in Creation love and blessings. We are all unique irreplaceable parts of the whole tapestry that makes up the Universe, we are all on our own Journey, and may we each and all embrace and travel along in our own time. Last week's question came from Christine: Does anyone have any suggestions on how to convince the medical community that Reiki can be an important part of the healing process. The medical community does not take Reiki seriously. I am a Reiki Master and medical intuitive, but unless you have a piece of paper that says you went to an institute of higher learning and paid a lot of money to add some letters behind your name, they aren't interested. Denise: The most important thing to recognize now is that all people in the medical field are not the same. My RMT works closely with the hospital in our area. I assist her with several talks there and at another hospital as well. We do see medical staff attend these talks, and although most are nurses or physical therapists, we do see an occasional doctor! She holds the highest hope that interest is sparked with Reiki in their professions, and it is undeniable that there are many health professionals already practicing Reiki in hospitals across the country. Nurses have approached, saying they are practitioners, but do so quietly. My mother is the coordinator for a health maintenance and ministry of sorts. As she is a little skeptical, I mentioned very little about my practicing Reiki at first. I should have known better, and let the universe handle it - when I did mention it, she was excited, exclaiming that her program has been exploring Reiki as a health and stress management method for both patients and staff members. I think it is important to try and practice "infinite patience". Let go of the frustration, and remember that Reiki is here to stay. Even though it may still be frowned upon by some, or is not as openly accepted as we would like, it cannot be kicked to the curb by those who experience its light and healing. And its presence will most certainly continue to grow - it's only a matter of time. And is it possible to change your time line with Reiki and can you build up your dynamism and if somebody has a low self-esteem or is negative can you help the person to build up his self esteem and to pull the person out of his negativism. ~~Reiki Experience~~
I remember feeling silly, standing by the poolside, addressing empty space, gesturing with my hands and head having a conversation and asking the boy-spirit if it would like to "go to the Light" and seeing Archangel Michael and his Band of Mercy appearing all around me and the boy. When the boy said yes, I opened a tunnel of light (don't ask me how I did it cuz I don't know either!) saw AA Michael step up to take the boy's hand and together they both stepped into the tunnel and ascended... like in a elevator. The other Angels too disappeared, I went to check my handphone for missed calls and flopped back into the pool to finish my laps.
