found that method of cleansing works very well. I am a Native Alaskan, but
have been living in California for over 30 years now. I had become involved
in the Native American Church 20 years ago. The Native Americans I met in
there taught me not to handle sage when I was menstruating. I don't know the
reasons, but I respect their ways and wanted to pass that bit of information
on to everyone. Maybe it is a matter of respecting different energies in
nature. We learn to respect fire at a young age, and other natural energies.
I guess it is just part of the mystery.

sufficient funding, I will join with Kenneth Nichols O'Keefe and the other
Human Shields in Baghdad to protect Iraqi's from being slaughtered and to
anchor God's light in the midst of great turmoil and suffering. The first
convoy of Human Shields left Heathrow due for Baghdad on January 14 and a
second convoy will depart February 14. I will rendezvous with the Human
Shield team in Baghdad. George Bush has nominated February 16 as the
deadline for negotiations and February 21 for the commencement of attack. A
two week long blitzkrieg is intended. Such an attack would cause unfettered
devastation. The first and second convoys of Human Shields will arrive
before the scheduled attack and will do their utmost to defend Iraqi people.
Following the blitzkrieg shall proceed ground maneuvers toward Baghdad. Due
to prior commitment, I will not be able to arrive in Baghdad until the end
of March. This mission will require donors and I would kindly ask that if
you wish to help me as a Human Shield in Baghdad that you offer your

~~Reiki Experience~~
attuned to 1st degree in utero, as a gift from my Reiki Master, certificate
and all! Maddie is almost 3 years old now, and I credit her warm, gentle
nature in part to that attunement. She has enjoyed Reiki since her
conception, as I enjoyed several Reiki sessions during my pregnancy. Add to
that my attunement to 3rd degree when I was seven months along, plus
Madelaine being attuned to 1st degree when she was 2 weeks away from being
born. Friends and family find Maddie a deeply intuitive, caring and
nurturing creature. And she has the First Degree Certificate up on her wall
to prove it! (LOL!!!)
a teaching reiki master and have 4 children, an 9yr old son, a 5 yr old son,
and twin girls who are almost 17 months old. Reiki has been a part of all
of their lives for the past few years. The first thing I did upon receiving
my master attunement was to attune my children. They loved the experience
and still ask me to do the attunement on them. What has been most amazing
to me is the ease and frequency with which they use reiki on themselves and
others, especially my 9 year old but I have also seen my toddlers be
powerful channels for reiki. My 9 year old tells me about how he uses reiki
with other kids at school. He never names it to them or explains it to them
but he does talk about giving classmates reiki with a pat on the back or
even by "beaming it" to them from under his desk. I sometimes take him with
me when I teach reiki classes to adults. At first I hesitated to do this
thinking he would be too bored or disruptive. I've found it to be just the
opposite. He freely shares his reiki experiences with the adult students.
It instantly put them at ease and gives them confidence. I've had students
say - if a child can do this than so can I. When we reach the point in a
class of practicing on one another, people love to have my son treat them
because of the intensity of the reiki coming through him. I believe
children are such clear channels that they are able to provide clear, pure
and intense experiences of reiki. I believe we should be providing
attunements to babies! If they can grow up knowing and practicing reiki the
world is in for some powerful changes in the years to come.
74yr old client, we had never met before, this was her first treatment with
me. She herself is a Reiki practitioner but has been inactive for awhile,
she is planning to start practising again and take her Mastery later this
year. I was working on a blockage between her heart and throat chakra, I
started to feel incredible pain, I though I was going to have to leave the
room and be sick but before I could my legs turned to jello and my knees
started shaking uncontrollably. I felt like a wave crashed down on me and
when I "woke up" I was on the floor. I felt very groggy and my brain was
screaming at my legs to stand up, it took a great effort but I finally did.
My client had not noticed a thing she was on the table in a state of
complete relaxation. I took some deep breaths and regrounded myself, which
I always do before I start a treatment but did again to get rid of some of
the light headedness. I sat down and continued on with the treatment,
everything seemed fine until I came to her Navel Chakra. I again started to
get pain and feel like I was going to be sick, I felt my head become very
heavy my legs even though I was seated were shaking and I said "please not
again" to myself before it went all black. I came to, what I think was only
moments later with my hands still in position on her Navel Chakra and my
head resting on my arms. Still my clients lay unaware of what was taking
place. I took some time to regain my composure and continued with the
treatment. A while later when she was awake we talked about the blockage and
her heart and throat chakras an worked on these areas some more. I had no
other black outs or sick feelings. Once the session was finished she told me
it was the best treatment she had ever had she felt completely relaxed, calm
and energized. I had four other clients that day and I was fine with all of
them. Has anyone ever had a similar experience and can tell me what that's
all about? I am a young very healthy and active person who has never had
any medical condition or fainted before. I am going to the doctor to see
what he thinks however something tells me that this is a Reiki matter,
something with the energy and whatever was going on between my client and I.
No one that I have talked to seems to have any solid idea of what it could
be. I would really appreciate any insight or information anyone may have.

a meditation and go to a special place where we meet our guide. I could not
quite meet mine. I know I have one but would sure like to meet it. I would
be interested in hearing how other people connected with their guides and if
they are symbolized by animals or objects. When I give a Reiki treatment I
always ask my helper and higher self for help and I always ask permission of
the persons higher self to give treatment. Only once did I hear a definite
NO. My aunt had cancer surgery on her nose, found out later they got all the
cancer.

their names. I had three for many years. Now I have only one, and he/she
came to me very directly. My advice would be to be patient. Don't have any
expectations. Your guides are already with you. Even if you are not
consciously aware of it/them. One of my students does have an animal as her
guide. I don't feel like there are any limitations on Reiki, after all, it
is Universal Live Force Energy....So why couldn't we have even a plant as a
guide or as a part of our tribe of guides. As an herbalist I can see the
benefits of even this form of guide. I also find that as I have evolved so
have my guides. Be patient with yourself my friend, and ask, for you shall
receive.
guides and these guides want us to work closely with them. I think we
sometimes make it hard to communicate with our guides because we approach
the situation with too many preconceived notions about how this
communication should look or feel. Over the years I have reached a point of
being able to relate with my guides on a daily basis. I think who want to
know their guides should hold the intention and let go of expectations.
Take some daily to sit quietly with an open mind and let all of your senses
be part of the experience. Different people will know their guides in
different ways - some will see, some hear, some will just sense the
presence. Anyone who asks for this contact will receive it.
Channel the Light' by David Ashworth from the UK. This is a book that was
previously recommended in this newsletter, which led me to buy it. It deals
with the subject of entities, spirits, psychic protection and Reiki in great
detail. It's a fascinating book which I couldn't put down and have already
read twice. The book can be obtained through www.davidashworth.com.
newsletters that "intuition" is the key, and I believe that true intention
for the benefit of the person is good in whatever energy work is done. Now,
I bumped into a friend of mine a few days ago who is a Reiki Master. We
talked for a while and she told me that her ex husband is a also a Reiki
Master - only problem is he is schizophrenic. So I asked her how could he
practise Reiki being that he is this way and takes medication. Now before
one jumps on me and reminds me about the film "A Beautiful Mind" allow me to
say that I saw it and it's a wonderful movie about a scientist who worked
with hard evidence. How does this work? How can a person whose energies are
obviously on another level work with normal non medicating people? Should
other people allow themselves to be treated by someone with that problem?

~~Growing your Reiki Practice~~
in central Ohio called "The WellPoint - Resources for Living". It is a
directory of metaphysical, alternative, complementary, and traditional
providers of health and well-being services, and vendors offering products
and services in retail environments. The WellPoint was published last fall
with the premier edition, and had a free distribution of 10,000 copies. The
spring issue is currently being prepared and will be out in April with
20,000 copies distributed in central Ohio. There will be an issue in the
fall, and then the publication will be quarterly starting in 2004.
Advertising is reasonably priced with display ads as low as $135 and logo
